Thank you for your interest in how Own Body can care for your valued clients in the comfort and convenience of their own home. Referrals can be emailed, made by phone (03) 96962639, completed using our referral form or faxed (03 8672 0770). Unlike many other providers, you won’t be waiting days to hear back from us.

We have a dedicated administration team who are available from 9am-5pm Monday-Friday to assist with any enquiries or urgent requests.

About our service

Own Body provides mobile physiotherapy, occupational therapy and podiatry in clients’ homes across metropolitan and greater Melbourne, Regional Victoria (Ballarat, Geelong and Mornington Peninsula) Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Hobart and Launceston (not all disciplines available in all areas). Above all else our goal is to assist clients to maintain their lifestyle, and to improve and maximise their capacity to live as independently as possible. An important feature of Own Body is that we endeavour to always commence treatment within a maximum of 3 days from referral for urgent referrals, which can be especially vital immediately after surgery, for wound care (podiatry) or when requiring equipment or assessment to live safely at home.

Our therapists

We have a growing team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists and podiatrys experienced in a range of conditions including orthopaedic, neurological, cardiothoracic, respiratory, trauma, falls prevention and reconditioning rehabilitation. We do not hire new graduates: each of our therapists has several years’ experience working in hospitals and/or private practices prior to commencing with Own Body – so you can rest assured your are referring to an experienced colleague.

Funding

Own Body therapists treat private patients as well as those covered under funding bodies such as NDIS, Workers Compensation Schemes, Home Care Packages, EPC/GPMP programs or private health care with Ancilliary (“Extras”) Cover. Treatment sessions are charged at Fees can be found here. Fees are charged to the client or their financial representative after each session. We work in partnership with multiple GP clinics to provide holistic care across medical and allied health services.
